Our Mission
The Victim/Witness Assistance Program strives to reduce the trauma of a crime by empowering and assisting crime victims, witnesses and significant others in reconstructing their lives through advocacy, support, information and referrals.

In Pennsylvania, as a victim of a crime, you are afforded certain rights under the law. Victim/Witness Assistance Program is here to ensure those rights are protected and enforced throughout your time in the criminal justice system.

Victim/Witness Assistance Program (VWAP) strives to address problems that arise due to involuntary involvement in the justice system. The staff of VWAP shall not practice, condone, facilitate, or collaborate with any form of discrimination based on age, marital status, gender or gender identity, political belief, religion, mental disability, or physical disability or sexual orientation.
VWAP is an independent non-profit agency that provides support and assistance to victims of crime in Dauphin County. We provide these services at no cost to victims.
