Victim Witness Assistance Program's 1st Annual Go the Distance for Crime Victims 5k Run/Walk
Run to Shatter the Silence, Walk to Stop the Violence

This is a great event for getting some exercise, meeting fellow supporters of victims' rights, and supporting your community by raising valuable dollars for services to crime victims, witnesses and their loved ones.

Schedule of events:
Packet pick up at the Carousel Pavilion on City Island 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Start of Run/Walk 9:00 a.m. Awards/Prizes 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
All participants MUST register and will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag on the day of the event.
Online registrations are guaranteed a t-shirt. Those who register the day of the event are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
All participants should be at City Island at least 30 minutes before the start time. Awards will be given for best overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd finishers. There will be 50/50 raffles and 5 free chances to win additional prizes. Participants MUST be present to receive any awards or prizes. Light refreshments will be provided after the event. Registration fees are tax deductible. This event is being held RAIN OR SHINE. No refunds will be provided and all race fees are non-transferable.

• $10.00 SURVIVOR SIGN: Want to honor a loved one lost to violence or a survivor of a violent act? Purchase a sign with an inscription of your choice that will be placed along the path for participants to see and be reminded of why they are walking and running.
• T-SHIRT ONLY: Cannot be there in person but want the commemorative t-shirt and to donate to a good cause.
